Why Our Guests
Love Staying At Headwater Haus

This cabin is phenomenal!

“This cabin is phenomenal! I can’t say enough good things about our recent stay. It’s pristine, cozy, and has every amenity you could ask for. It is in such a beautiful location. When we walked in it smelled like juniper and I knew I would love it. We saw elk and even a bobcat just from the deck, and watched a beautiful stream flow right next to us. The fireplaces were so cozy! We stayed during the holidays and they decorated the entire space and put up lights on the cabin. It was the white Christmas feel we wanted for our kids. They loved it and we can’t wait to go back another season. We also brought our dog and they had a lovely dog bed for her, a cookie jar of dog treats… they really have thought of everything. This is the best experience I have had with a place on Airbnb.”

The property was peaceful and private.

“This was the perfect combination between low-key cozy cabin and high-quality luxurious amenities. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a peaceful and comfortable getaway. The beds, couches, pillows, blankets, and fireplace were superbly clean and comfy. We spent a lot of time cooking in the open-plan kitchen with a great counter to hang at while someone else cooks. It was stocked with every cooking utensil you could need. We loved having multiple outdoor areas — the ‘Greenhouse,’ which felt a bit like a sauna, and the beautiful porch overlooking the Rio Grande. It has a barb wire fence around the property to keep your dog fenced in (the fence does not exist around the side of the house that goes toward the river though FYI). The property was peaceful and private. There are many other houses in the area but across the river on the other side of the hill. The cabin stayed warm with use of the fireplaces and hosts were responsive.”

Love this cabin!

“Love this cabin! The openness of the kitchen, sitting area and dining area was really nice. The whole cabin is so comfy; every time we had other family members stop by, who were staying somewhere else, they would mention how cute it was. It was so clean. Communication was awesome. We’ll definitely stay here again sometime. Thanks again Abbey :)”

The privacy and views are worth the stay alone

“We had a wonderful stay in Creede. The property was absolutely beautiful from the moment we walked in, and it came stocked with local gems like the Creede basaltic and olive oil (which we later bought in town). The privacy and views are worth the stay alone.”

Don’t forget to stargaze at night!

“Such a cute cabin with a great kitchen and amenities. The beds were amazing. We played games that were provided with our kids, fished and caught some great size trout right off the property. Great proximity to town. Don’t forget to stargaze at night! Thanks for the great stay!”
